I just wanted to write to tell you again what a lovely
time we had at the Dairy and to thank you for all the nice
things you did.
I am back at work and finally over my jet lag, but missing
Normandy!
Our cottages
A “gite”?
A gite is a self-catering independent holiday
accommodation, which is located right on the owner’s
estate, in the countryside – or at least it should be.
You receive a warm, personalized welcome; hospitality is
the rule. It is an opportunity to get an unhurried, local
knowledge of the surroundings.

The Cottage and the Dairy are restored
18th century half timbered buildings.
Family furniture and portraits decorate each home, with
their memories and warmth.
The Dairy at La Hoguette Montpinçon
Accommodates 9 guests.
Accessible to persons with disabilities.
Ground floor: Living/ dining room with marble
fireplace, comfortable double sofa and chairs. Two
bedrooms, one with 1 double bed, the other with 2 single
beds. Fully equipped kitchen including 5-burner propane
stove,
microwave oven, dish-washer, washing machine,
refrigerator and freezer. Main floor bathroom with
bathtub, shower, hand basin, and WC.
Second floor: Mezzanine with single bed. Two
bedrooms, one with 1 queen-size bed, the other with 2
single beds. Bathroom with shower, hand basin, WC.
Electric heating.
Carpeted bedrooms, and tiled floors elsewhere. Enclosed
private garden with gas barbecue and garden furniture.

Ground floor: the pink-tiled living area
is laid out on an open plan, with a fully equipped kitchen
(includes dishwasher, washing machine, 4-burner propane
hotplate, refrigerator, freezer) at one end of main floor,
and a fireplace with sitting and dining area
(double
sofa-bed). Bathroom: shower, washbasin, WC.
Open second floor: one queen size bed,
one single bed. Electric heating. Enclosed private garden,
with brick barbecue and garden furniture.

Both La Hoguette homes are open all
year round.
We live on site and are on hand to help out if need be.
We provide all the house linens - duvet covers,
pillow-cases, fitted sheets, towels, dish towels,
tablecloth -, as well as a vacuum cleaner and TV in each
home (VCR in the Cottage).
All house linens are 100% cotton, and dried by the fresh
air of La Hoguette.
We make all the beds.
We provide basic staples and household cleaning supplies.
Children's cot, vacuum-cleaner and television provided in
each gite.
Baby sitting service is available, upon request.
Your dogs are very welcome. The charge is 20 euros
and the standard cleaning package applies: 90 euros for
the Dairy, 70 euros for the Cottage.
A DVD-player, and mountain bikes can be rented.
Nearest shopping is 12 km away in Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives,
a bustling town where market is held every Monday in 13th
century market hall, or Livarot
(9 km), or Trun (12 km).
Rentals are from Saturday at 4 p.m. to the following
Saturday at 10 a.m.
Shorter stays of 2, 3, 4, 5 or
6 days are possible, except during school holidays.
